Overview
Our client, a household name in building improvements, is currently seeking a Sales Manager to join their talented team in Exeter. Alongside generating your own sales in both new and repeat business, your role will be to effectively manage the sales department, ensuring the team is efficient, effective and providing a fantastic service throughout. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced salesperson with good management and team leadership experience. In return you will receive a competitive salary and achievable on target earnings. Any experience within a similar industry would be highly beneficial. Responsibilities: Generating new business and securing repeat business Acting as a point of sale to prospective customers both in person and on the phone Effectively managing the sales team to ensure they are on target and completing work in line with company values Leading on showroom development, providing product demonstrations and delivering timely quotations thereafter Establishing and maintaining fantastic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders Helping to bridge skills gaps within the team, managing general absences and ensuring appropriate staffing at all times Working with the MD to communicate ideas for improvement and identify solutions to issues Requirements: A fantastic salesperson ideally with experience in a similar industry Excellent leadership and team management experience and skill Highly organised with strong time keeping skills Numeracy skills and ideally but not essentially knowledge of Autocad IT skills, GDPR knowledge and basic employment law understanding Willing to visit rural sites and wear personal protective equipment where required Quality and results driven with both assertiveness and compassion This role will pay a competitive salary with a good achievable OTE.
