Area Sales Manager - Hardwood Timber Products Job Title: Area Sales Manager -Hardwood Timber Products Industry Sector: Hardwood, Timber, Timber Importers, Shop Fitters, Joinery Contractors, Timber Merchants, End Users, Window & Door Manufactures, Kitchen Manufacturers, Fabricators and Saw-Millers Area to be covered: Midlands Remuneration: £30,000 - £40,000 £7,000 Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed car benefits package The role of the Area Sales Manager - Hardwood Timber Products will involve: Field sales position selling a range of hardwood timber products Focusing on the Midlands 70% of your time selling to buyers within manufacturers such as kitchen manufacturers and window& door manufacturers Remainder of time with end users, timber merchants, fabricators, saw-millers, shop fitters and high end joinery contractors Covering an area currently achieving £1.5-£2m turnover Working closely with the incumbent field sales professional who is looking to retire 60% new business development, 40% account management position Managing with orders valued from £500 - £40,000 Loads of contacts/ customers provided The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager -Hardwood Timber Products with: Proven track record in field sales. Must have sold hardwood timber based products Ideally an understanding of the timber manufacturing process Comfortable managing existing customers whilst generating new business Experience selling to timber manufacturers is desirable Ability to build and maintain relationships with buyers within timber manufacturers Effective verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues Driven, enthusiastic, hungry with a passion for the product and company Excellent communication skills with ability to convey technically information Computer literate Efficient territorial planning skills The Company: Est.15 years 50 employees Circa £18m turnover Privately held Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
