Head of Sales - Global 3pl Company - UK wide - Up to £100,000. About the Company We are recruiting for a Head of Sales within the 3rd party logistics sector. The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing and executing a sales strategy and driving new business growth across a retail 3pl business unit. You will be an experienced leader, commercially astute whilst possessing the gravitas and presence to inspire and influence those around you. Energy, drive, innovation and a strong service ethos are essential for this role. This is a National role so will involve extensive travel therefore base location is flexible. Head of Sales - The Rewards Salary up to £100,000 Sales Package Head of Sales - Requirements Demonstrable experience of delivering profitable growth, improved customer acquisition and retention with a clear drive to convert "in-year" opportunities Evidence of successful proposition development, customer segmentation and skilled negotiation of complex solutions A hands-on approach of bid-writing, pricing, bid production and financial modelling Experience and knowledge of the retail market Knowledge of Specialist Transportation, Warehousing or Supply Chain solutions along with procurement processes and frameworks is desirable An in-depth experience and understanding of customer relationship management and customer segmentation as well as a demonstrable ability to develop new business Experience of implementing robust business processes, controls and procedures to support the delivery of complex multi-service, multi-year contracts A sophisticated relationship builder and familiar with complex multi-stakeholder environments, you will evidence having initiated and maintained long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers. Influencing at C-Suite, VP and Director level Clear and high impact communication and presentation skills Ambitious, driven and be prepared to work 'at the coal face' and naturally possess a hands on approach to getting things done Demonstrate a passion for customer excellence and presenting a high quality product offering Head of Sales - Responsibilities Generate new business growth by developing new and existing relationships within critical customer groups in both existing and new markets Maximise "in year" revenue growth through new and renewed contracts Work to develop, implement and monitor an appropriate and effective sales plan, matching activity to customer and market opportunities to deliver the revenue/margin targets Understand and effectively communicate the companies value proposition and be relentless around how service delivery can differentiate the business from the competition Provide regular feedback from customers and the market into the business, identifying trends and changes that impact on service offering and/or customer engagement Champion a performance culture, where success and achievement is recognised and rewarded at all levels of the business About Us Detail2Recruitment acts as an employment agency in respect of this position.
