Alecto Recruitment - Business Development Manager Birmingham - Fire Alarms Alecto Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven history of devleloping new business in the Fire Alarm Industry. The role is predominately Fire related however experience within Access Control and CCTV will be beneficial. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business from a combination of existing and new customers. You will also be a key player in increasing growth through install and maintenance contracts. You will respond to incoming enquiries and self-generate new business (new solutions or upgrades to services). You must be able to demonstrate knowledge within the Fire & Security Industry. You will do this through driving new and additional works from your existing customer accounts by building strong relationships and also source potential new customers through self-generated business and referrals. Your role will involve working closely with colleagues in order to ensure that handover of new customers is as smooth as possible. You should be confident in identifying new business leads and finally as well as this you should be self-motivated and dedicated. You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of achievement and will have Industry and Standards experience. You will be able to show a proven track record of small to medium works and confidently hit targets of around £300k-£600k pa (£25k- £50k p/m) within mixed business areas. The successful candidate will be a proven seller, will be dynamic at managing existing Customer relationships to drive growth for the company along with increased satisfaction for the customer. He or she will be able to function independently but will also be able to leverage resources and engage with the operational departments to ensure high levels of customer service. He or she will understand the sales process from start to finish. The role will involve direct contact with Fire and Security Director, you will be able to work remotely however will be expected to visit the office in Birmingham as and when required. Your Duties: Competent in system design Deliver annual target market &/or market share growth Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities Utilise product and sales training to maximise understanding of products, features, and value propositions Deliver on-target monthly sales at target margin Prepare Sales Reports and present, as required, with an analysis of results and recommendations on issues, actions and initiatives Good understanding of current regulations and codes of practice Develop a network of contacts to understand current and emerging market needs and trends Participate proactively in region strategy, planning and review discussions Ensure lead generation, sales and technical documentation supports initiatives to displace competitors Develop and implement a territory Sales strategy and tactical plan aligned to the regional business plan Monitor competitors' performance and respond promptly to threats and risk Provide feedback to the Directors on customer needs and market opportunities.
