Business Development Manager - Payments City of London Salary : £40-60K commission Our client, an established fast growing leading payment service provider is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their leading team. This role is a new business role. You will proactively seek prospective merchants and partners, selling the products and services of omnichannel commerce solutions.The Business Development Manager will be responsible for boarding new clients and partners with a core focus on generating processing volume, revenue and margin. The role involves: Seek new business prospects proactively with a view to selling in the benefits of different products and services. Contacting prospects through multiple channels to maximise customer engagement. Spot cross and up-sell opportunities, which can add value to customers and revenue Negotiate commercial and contractual terms. Ongoing maintenance of the CRM system for accurate reporting, forecasting and pipeline management. Represent the company at trade events where required. ? Complete full sales cycle with merchants, until ready to hand client to the Account Management team for day to day handling. ? Complete full sales cycle with partners and continue to grow their portfolio ?of introduced merchants. ? Travel to meetings with prospect clients and partners. Person Specification Proven track record in new business sales. Proven track record of ability to meet and surpass sales, cross sell and upsell targets Knowledge of the payments industry as well as relevant experience is necessary Understanding of Payment systems capabilities and features Experience with chip and pin hardware and acquiring is a plus Success driven, strong self starter and motivator Attention to detail, and able to intelligently present a solution to clients Able to perform either independently or as part of a team Team player, excellent inter-personal skills Strong communication and teamwork skills Strong presentation skills Computer literacy, word processing, CRM, data handling, record keeping This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK and will be instrumental to help manage their strategic expansion.
