Overview

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. The Business Resilience Leader is responsible for catalysing activity in response to disruptive events. This role involves the leadership within the UK&I of the following areas: Crisis Management Planning and Response: As the UK&I Crisis Management Team Coordinator, working with the Crisis Management Leader (the Managing Partner for Risk Management) provide leadership, advice and judgement on responding to crisis events. Also ensuring the preparation of the Crisis Management Team through training and war game exercises.​ Business Continuity: Devise, test and improve Business Continuity Plans for the UK and Ireland. Incident Management and Emergency Response: Leadership of the firm’s response to any incident that can impact business activities. Physical Security: Leadership of physical security across all UK and Ireland offices, including leadership of manned guarding. Travel Risk Management: leadership of advice, monitoring and preparation of the company business travellers going to high risk destinations, and emergency repatriation / response to any incident as needed. UK Government Information Security (UK role only). This role involves working closely with Information Security. Health and Safety at Work (UK role only): act as the “Responsible Person” and leadership of the H&S strategy, plans and mitigating actions. This role requires the ability to provide sound judgement in support of decision making by senior leadership during potentially stressful circumstances, and the ability to coordinate across business functions to drive forward actions in challenging timescales. Experience in leading and oversight of business resilience at a senior level;​ Knowledge and experience of business continuity planning, corporate security, and working in a crisis management team;​ Excellent communication skills;​ Strong analytical and logical skills with the ability to deal with problems in a practical and common-sense way;​ Ability to work in a complex, matrixed organisation;​ Ability to establish a high degree of credibility, respect and trust at all levels, including with senior partners of the firm;​ Experience of delivering strategic projects / change management;​ Effective planning and organising skills to prioritise key areas of responsibility, tasks and projects; and​ A deep understanding of the business of a global professional services organisation, and an appreciation of its culture. Experience of working within a Big 4 environment; and A relevant qualification in business continuity.
