Overview
One thing we can appreciate from the strange times we are facing is seeing the value in everything that keeps us connected. It's amazing, isn't it? Despite being in lockdown we can all still (sort of) see one another and our reliance on everything that connects us is clearer now than ever. Tech has never been so important in our day-to-day lives. Better Placed are currently working with a business who are at the forefront of revolutionising how vulnerable people in society can connect with those who can help and care for them. Unrelated to recent events, the business has been steadily growing, providing a proposition that helps deliver better standards of care and allow those in society who are vulnerable to live the life they know and cherish. First and foremost, the business would describe themselves as a tech platform. They believe what they are doing is a really positive step forwards within the industry and their solution provides better outcomes to their customers. This is backed up by their levels of growth over the past couple of years and you'll be joining a business with an excellent long-term outlook. You'll be a proactive Business Development Manager who can spot an opportunity for delivering solutions across a range of different B2B sectors. There is no 'one size fits all' proposition and this will vary from industry to industry so you will need to be versatile and imaginative. Sales cycles can be anything from 1-12 months so its a role that offers real variety. You'll be responsible for these larger corporate partnerships as well as managing a team of 2 (more to come in the near future) with the less complex customers and short-term transactions. It's truly an all-rounder BDM role, being a company in a relatively early stage means you'll need to get involved in a range of different things. In return, you'll be entered into a fantastic share scheme (it's a PE-backed business), work towards a generous bonus and play a part in helping out people who need it most. Ideally, you'll have experience as a BDM and understand the healthcare industry but this is not essential. Other industries that would be a good fit would be SaaS, Financial Services or anything with a relatively complex sales cycle.
