Area Sales Manager - Plumbing and Heating Job Title: Territory Sales Manager - Commercial Plumbing & Heating/ Building Services Industry Sector: HVAC, M&E Contractors, HIU, Heat Interface Unit, Underfloor Heating, Plumbing Pipes & Fittings, Pre-Insulated Pipework, Commercial plumbing, heating, pipework, building services, M&E contractors, local house builders, D&B Contractors, plumbing and heating merchants Area to be covered: North East & Yorkshire Remuneration: £40,000 £45,000 25% Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed Car & Full Benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager Commercial Plumbing & Heating/ Building Services will involve: Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of plumbing pipes and fittings, underfloor heating, pre-insulated pipework and heat interface units HIU 35-40% new business development with main contractors, M&E contractors, renewable installer and other plumbing & heating contractors 25% of your time winning new specification with M&E consultants (ideally conducting a CPD presentation per month) and D&B contractors 20% of your time managing existing relationships with M&E contractor customer base 15-20% of your time back selling through circa 15-20 branches of BSS, Wolseley, Pipe Center and some smaller independent commercial plumbing and heating merchants Inheriting an area achieving approx. £120,000 turnover per month Currently running at circa 92.5% of budget expectation Minimum 3-4 customer visits per day, 4 days per week Typical order values from £30,000-£100,000 40% account development, 60% new business prospecting Typical projects include high rise residential apartments, nursing homes, hotels, student accommodation etc The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Commercial Plumbing & Heating/ Building Services with: Must have technical plumbing & heating associated field sales experience with contractors and Specifiers Preferably from the commercial HVAC/ M&E/ Building Services industry Preferably a manufacturing field sales background, but also open to a distribution field sales background IT Savvy, able to create journey plan No journeymen Problem solver mentality/ can demonstrate initiative Ideally with knowledge of commercial plumbing and heating products such as pipes & fittings, heat interface units, underfloor heating, pre-insulated pipework, building services etc Energetic self starter capable of handling multiple tasks to deadlines Calm trustworthy and professional approach, able to liaise with M&E consultants, D&B Contractors and other specifiers The Company: 40 employees £20m UK turnover Part of large European group Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
