Overview
The Company Nigel Wright are delighted to be working with a software development company based in the North East who are looking to recruit a keen and ambitious business development professional who can help increase income and build a long term pipeline of new opportunities. The client is looking for a commercially minded and consultative sales person who is hungry, motivated and who can demonstrate a proven track record of closing deals and winning new business. The Role Proactively develop new business opportunities with prospective clients and customers Use Linkedin, networking events and other resources to identify key decision makers in target companies Take a proactive approach to developing a long-term pipeline Proactively up-sell and cross-promote existing solutions to current clients and customers Able to prioritise and manage own schedule, work independently and as part of a team Person Specification Ability to offer a consultative and solution-focused approach to sales Demonstrate a proven track record of hitting target, growing income and winning new business Experience selling technology or software based solutions (ideally) Commercially minded, able to qualify leads (both in and out) and effectively close deals Be able to adapt sales approach and presentations to clients and customers of all sizes Whilst not essential, experience of public sector selling, tendering, bids and frameworks would be beneficial
