Overview
A charity, dedicated to utilising unused food, is rapidly growing and looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team immediately for a 3 month contract. Client Details A large charity, dedicated to utilising unused food, based in Central London Description All Balance Sheet and reconciliations Accounts receivable, in conjunction with the fundraising staff Outgoing payments Assist the DoF to comply with all regulatory and statutory requirements Prepare quarterly VAT returns [once the charity is VAT registered] Corporate tax returns - charity and trading company o Provide the auditors with information required to complete the returns o Review the returns prepared by the auditors Review Gift Aid returns for accuracy and compliance Financial accounts o Prepare the annual statutory accounts in compliance with SORP for review by DoF o Prepare working papers required by the auditors Produce and analyse regular management accounts Cash flow and treasury management o Short-term forward forecast to ensure adequate cash is available for day-to-day activities o Long-term forward forecast for review by DoF Restricted funds Profile Desirable: Xero Essential: Exposure to Charity Finance SORP Job Offer £17-19ph
