We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our high performing Legacy Management Team, who won "Team of the Year" at the last British Heart Foundation Fundraising conference, as a Legacy Manager for a 12 month maternity cover commencing in June 2020.About the roleLegacies are a key source of income for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), raising c£80m a year for our life saving research. This pivotal role will provide you with an opportunity to be part of an ambitious and motivated team. You'll gain exposure to a variety of work including line management, casework, strategy, project work, etc. As Legacy Manager you'll support the Head of Legacy Management build on the team's successes and optimising the BHF's income from gifts in Wills. You will also be involved in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical guidance to colleagues and potential legacy givers. You'll be joining the team at an exciting time as we look to roll out our new strategy and work in collaboration with Legacy Marketing to raise the profile of legacies. Responsible for the line management of 3 Legacy Officers you'll demonstrate a commitment to training and development. The team are committed to working towards beating heartbreak forever - why not join us and help turn our ambition into a reality About you You'll have previous experience of working within private client / legacies administration. With excellent verbal and written communication skills you'll be able to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly. You'll have a high level of empathy, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and contacts.With previous experience working in a fast paced environment you'll have excellent IT skills, particularly MS Office. You'll have excellent attention to detail and with strong time management skills the ability to prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines.
