Overview

Senior sales management role with a multinational electrical, electronic component and industrial consumable and equipment OEM / MRO logistics, supply chain service and technology solutions provider. BASIC SALARY: £60,000 - £70,000 (possible flexibility) BENEFITS: · OTE: £80,000 - £100,000 · Company Car / Car Allowance · Contributory Pension Scheme · Health Cover (if needed) · Life Assurance · Death in Service Benefit (x4 Annual Salary) · Full Out of Pocket Expense · Full Home, Remote Communications Package including Laptop, Mobile Phone etc. LOCATION: UK COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: This is a national role, and therefore we envisage that you could live anywhere within UK with access to any of the major commuter networks ie: Birmingham, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Leeds, Reading, Cambridge, Oxford, Northampton, Sheffield JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Director / Senior Sales Manager - Industrial Electrical / Electronic Component, Equipment, and Consumable OEM and MRO logistics, supply chain service and technology solution · This Senior level role involves full P & L responsibility and the recruitment, management, training, motivation for a team of six territory-based Business Development Managers who are selling full OEM / MRO supply chain solutions to a very broad spectrum of industrial markets. · The management will involve dual visitation, supporting, motivating, coaching and developing your team. · There will be one or two major accounts to handle and /or develop- but this is predominantly and classic senior field sales management role with P and L responsibility. · Total turnover for the division is over £60m. This is a joint effort of this field-based team of Business Development Managers and their Sales Director, and a nationwide network of locations and their Sales Director. · The locations not only service the business won by the business development team, but also act as the eyes and ears on the ground for the BDMs and will constantly be on the look out for the potential to turn a transactional account into one that the BDMs could develop into a full supply chain solution. · This is a senior role in which you will be expected to be autonomous and strong enough to take decisions. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sales Director / Senior Sales Manager - Industrial Electrical / Electronic Component, Equipment, and Consumable OEM and MRO logistics, supply chain service and technology solution · To be considered you will need at least three to five years' sustained and consistent success in similar senior sales management or Sales Director role in the industrial market. This will probably be consumable or component e.g. wire cable or c-class components- but open to others. · You will have led a team of senior sales or business development personnel selling a supply chain solution involving added value services involving TCO on a new business basis involving a consultative approach, i.e. not just product/ catalogue sales. · The company is very well established, but fast moving and growing multinational distribution business, a major worldwide corporation. So, you will need to be energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and down to earth, you also credible and professional and be able to operate in a corporate environment. THE COMPANY: Established over 50 years my client is an $8bn annual turnover corporation operating worldwide with a £2.3bn turnover and 1,800 personnel in Europe with a large structured sales and sales management function in the UK of 180- 200 personnel. They provide a range of electrical, electronic components, fasteners and consumables to industrial OEM and MRO markets on a "just-in-time" (JIT), KanBan, inventory system basis. Not only are they constantly expanding the range of products, but also a wide range of other technological solutions to enable their customers to increase their operational efficiency and profitability. A household name in the United States, the company is very well established in the UK, with a very well earned reputation for the quality of their service. This role is part of a three to five year expansion plan and could give very good career prospects for the successful applicant.
