Overview
Interim Head of Finance 318 c. £50,000 London with travel, UK 12 months Our partner is working with young people on health & sexual awareness, sustainable livelihoods and enabling them to be change-makers in the communities they live in. They are seeking an Interim Head of Finance to oversee the finance functions across their offices in Africa and Asia, consolidate their global finances and lead on their annual budgeting & reforecasting, and year-end and audit preparations. Key Responsibilities Leadership and oversight of the global finance function, with responsibility of presenting financial analysis & projections to the leadership team and board members on a regular basis. Oversee and maintain the integrity of the recordkeeping, accounting & financial management and reporting systems across all the country offices, Responsible for the internal audit function, and developing and meeting any capacity building requirements of the country offices. Leads in the preparation of the annual financial statements, consolidated accounts, and annual UK and global audit preparations. Leads in the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes. Ensures that the organisation meets it statutory, regulatory and tax compliance requirements in the UK. Requirements Accountant (qualified and part-qualified candidates considered), with strong technical skillset including preparing financial statements and group/consolidated accounts; budgeting and reporting within an INGO. Excellent business partner with strong communication (written and verbal) skills, able to work effectively with finance staff in country hubs, and non-finance and leadership staff in the UK. Experience of managing staff Strong IT and systems skills (advanced MxExcel user highly desirable) Flexible & collaborative, able to thrive in a small team and manage a varied workload.
