Overview

Senior Financial Accountant role in Central Government Organisation. Unique opportunity to collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, and overseeing and ensuring integrity, accuracy and completeness of financial statements and the annual report. Client Details Central Government Organisation Public Sector Finance Description Ensure integrity, accuracy and completeness of the financial statements and annual report, demonstrating advanced understanding of accountancy standards. Develop plans for implementation of new or updated accountancy packages and systems. Responsible for achievement of operational year end timetable and external audit liason. Preparation of cash flow forecasts to support both operational cash planning and investment planning. Monitor compliance and effectiveness of financial controls and implement process improvements where needed. Leading and developing direct reports at varying levels of experience and skill sets. Profile ACA, ACCA qualified (or equivalent qualification). Previous experience in practice, audit or tax. Experience of producing annual reports and financial statements. Experience consolidating year-end statutory accounts and audit files, liaising with external auditors. Experience of preparing VAT returns. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
