Join EY’s EMEIA Tax Centre (ETC) as a tax accounting professional and work on EY’s largest multi-country client engagements in a tax accounting and direct tax capacity. The team is based across the EMEIA region with major hubs in the UK, Belgium, Netherlands and Poland. Together we deploy strong multi-skilled teams working seamlessly across countries and service lines. The opportunity As a Senior Consultant in the team, you will get exposure of working directly with the group tax function and support them in managing tax risks in their business. The role is highly practical and commercial. You will have an opportunity to use your tax accounting and tax compliance skills on a day-to-day basis. You will support clients in managing their global tax compliance, delivering their interim group tax reporting and embedding processes to identify tax risk. You will have an opportunity to support clients on process improvement as well as driving process improvement in EY. Your key responsibilities Preparing tax provisions and reviewing outputs from EY local country teams Assisting in coordination of client accounts Supporting on pursuits including response to RFPs Reviewing tax legislative updates and opportunities globally to share with our clients Coaching graduate trainees Reviewing local country tax outputs and compiling tax analytics Key point of contact for EY local country teams Working with our Centres of Excellence in Philippines, Argentina and Poland. Skills and attributes for success US GAAP and / or IFRS tax accounting experience such as provision preparation or tax audit work Good communication skills An ability to distill complex concepts into simple messages Organized and able to manage your work load Experience reviewing codes, time and budgets Willing to travel To qualify for the role you must have Accounting or tax qualification (ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT or equivalent) Strong tax technical skills Corporate income tax experience (any country) Ideally, you’ll also have Project management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget What we look for In rapidly a changing world and tax environment, making career choices which will build your skills for the new world of work will future-proof your career.
