Overview
Our client is a leading global player in the Pharmaceutical industry with global headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. They are undergoing a transformation with respect to culture and outside perception. The organisation focusses on novel therapies in Oncology and Ophthalmology and is also currently developing a world-leading pipeline in Neuroscience and Dermatology with one of the strongest pipelines of Phase II/III studies in the world. We are currently looking for a Business Technology Consultant to be based in Basel for a contract position . Main Responsibilities Provide support in collecting business requirements and coordinating them with IT; Engage with both the user community and IT colleagues; Running small PoC projects to facilitate the exploration of new tools and methods; Jointly work with IT and other business colleagues to make sure new capabilities are implemented in a way that they are fit-for-purpose; Support the creation and maintenance of user documentation, policies and training material. Qualifications and Experience: Master and/or PhD in either IT or science subjects preferred; Linux administration skills (RHEL/CentOS); Automated scientific software provisioning (e.g. EasyBuild, spack, ); High Performance Computing (LSF, SLURM, GPFS, Low Latency Networks); Basic knowledge of R and/or Python; Container technologies: Docker, EKS, OpenShift; Awareness of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure); Understanding of GxP principles and its application on IT systems; Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
