Lots of autonomy in the role once up and running UK based manufacturer Healthy mix of new business and account management YOUR CAREER : If you're an experienced field sales person with a background in the construction sector, this is a chance to join a manufacturer where you can make a genuine difference and be more than 'just a number'. THE ROLE: You will sell to traditional construction routes to market, including architects, contractors, and merchants. Our client has strong relationships with the major builders' merchants so as the BDM you will be responsible for upselling and cross-selling as well as doing CPD presentation with architects and specifiers. Initially you will be based in the office to learn the technical aspects of the product range, however in time you will be able to arrange meetings and spend 50% of the time in the office and 50% out on meetings covering London and the South East. THE PERSON: To be considered for the role of business development manager you will have experience selling to a similar type of customer base. A related product would be extremely desirable and beneficial to hit the ground running. However, if you are looking to get in to the construction industry having already got some sales experience under your belt then our client will be interested too. THE COMPANY : Our client specialises in specialist construction products, from roofing membranes and waterproofing, to green roofs and living walls. Since they were established over 30 years ago, they've gone from strength to strength and are looking to capitalise on the potential business that can be generated in their new product ranges.
