We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.   The Opportunity   The Projects and Funds Team of Plan International is responsible for developing policy, procedure, guidance and tools to support Country Offices successfully acquire and manage projects and funds.  As the Project Management and Compliance Specialist you will be an integral part of this team, you will play an important leadership role in the implementation of new procedures and the capacity development of Plan International’s Country Offices to manage institutional funding and comply with donor regulations.   The Individual   This is an important role that contributes to the shaping and delivering of the overall objectives of the Project and Funds Team. Therefore, you will be required to have demonstrable experience of managing large grants, developing policies, procedures and supporting tools, and articulating them to a wide range of audiences from formal governance structures to field offices.   Experience of working in a large INGO at a senior level, including a broad-based understanding of how large INGOs including ‘federal’ INGOs operate. A detailed understanding of how institutional donors interact with INGOs and how INGOs manage acquisition to contract close out processes with institutional donors.   With training and capacity development skills including the development of learning material and the delivery of formal and informal training. As well as strong influencing skills with the ability to apply logic and reasoning, persuasion and empathy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (high level of English writing skills essential, French and/or Spanish highly desirable) Location: Flexible Location (Preferably Global Hub, Woking or where Plan International has a legal entity and you have the pre-existing right to live and work).
