Area Sales Manager - Flooring & Building Products Job Title: Area Sales Managers - Flooring & Building Products Industry Sector: Flooring Contractors, Retail Showrooms, Builders Merchants, Distribution, Carpets, Vinyl Flooring and Wooden Flooring Areas to be covered: London & South East (RG, SL, TW, UB & W) Remuneration: £35,000-£42,000 Up to £12,000 Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed car & full benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager - Flooring & Building Products will involve: Field sales role selling our clients distributed range of carpets, vinyl flooring, engineered wooden flooring & accessories 80% of your time developing flooring contractors 20% developing retail showroom and builders merchants which are a new growth area Inheriting West London territory, with a turnover in excess of £2m 40% of your time new business prospecting, although much of this can be done within lapsed accounts that have not been visited by a field sales professional for some time 60% account management of 120 customers on the ledger, although only approx 60 of these are actively spending Tasked with growing the area by approx 10% Tasked with growing accounts on day one by approx 20 customers in the first year Visiting end users who specify our clients products through the flooring contractors Follow up on enquiries from manufacturers who have asked flooring contractors to price up our clients products and then buy them through retail/ distribution Typical end users include hospitals, local authorities, prisons, office block, new builds, police stations etc. Typical projects £2,000-£10,000 but can be up to £150,000 The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Flooring & Building Products with: Must have field sales experience within the construction industry Must have a flooring industry background On the up in career Excellent territory planning skills Hungry attitude, reliable, enthusiastic and high energy Comfortable with an aesthetically pleasing sell Professional, organised and confident Not afraid to ask customers difficult questions The Company: Est. approx. 40 years 400 employees £100m UK turnover For an immediate interview either click on the APPLY NOW button below or contact Paul, Lee or Simon at Mitchell Maguire Ltd Mitchell Maguire is a specialist construction field sales recruitment consultancy, dealing exclusively with construction field sales jobs, construction field sales vacancies and specification field sales positions within: Flooring Contractors, Retail Showrooms, Builders Merchants, Distribution, Carpets, Vinyl Flooring and Wooden Flooring LVT, Interiors, Wall Coverings, Fabric, Furniture, Partitions, Lighting, Ceramics, Ceilings and other Interior Finishes
