Overview
The Company Joshua Robert are excited to be recruiting for a highly respected chartered firm of surveyors in Worcestershire. With a strong base of highly established clients, the business offers a range of services to their clients including; business rates, commercial rent reviews and lease renewals, compulsory purchase and compensation through to commercial property acquisitions and financial asset valuations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Surveyor looking to join a smaller (but growing) consultancy – perhaps someone who’s been in a large corporate who’s now looking to use their experience to offer a more personal touch to their clients. Business hours are 9am – 5pm, however you will be managing your own diary with flexible and home working. The Role The successful candidate will have exposure to a wide range of commercial projects of varying sizes, both locally and across the UK. Supporting the Managing Director, your role will involve: Growing and managing a portfolio of clients to minimise their business rates liabilities Carrying out surveys and inspections Negotiating and settling appeals against rating assessments, including presenting cases at Valuation Tribunals Supporting the lease advisory team in developing Landlord and Tenant opportunities from existing and new clients The Candidate The successful candidate will be a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with proven post qualified experience, ideally in Rating or L&T. The background of the candidate is flexible, but an interest in business rates in essential (and full training will be provided).
