Area Sales Manager - Heavyside & Civil Building Products Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Heavyside & Civil Building products Industry Sector: Manhole Covers and Gratings, Linear Drainage Channel, Underground Pipes and Fittings, Security Chambers/ Covers, Builders Merchants, Main Contractors, Civil Contractors and Groundworkers Area to be covered: South East Remuneration: £35,000-£38,000 10% Bonus (Year 2) Benefits: Fully expensed car and Full Benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager - Heavyside & Civil Building products will involve: Field sales role promoting predominantly a manufactured range of manhole covers and gratings, linear drainage channel, underground pipes and fittings, security chambers/ covers Covering the South East with occasional visits to the South West 30% of your time stimulating demand for the products with main contractors, sub contractors, groundworkers and civil engineers 70% managing relationships and back-selling through builders merchants (this has previously been 100% of the their field sales reps’ focus) Responsible for an area with a turnover of circa £3.5m-£5m Inheriting a territory currently running approx. 20% below budget expectation 5-6 customer calls per day, four days per week, one day working from home/ admin Hugh amount of builders merchant customers on the area (300), but you will be advised which ones to visit, typically high spending or high opportunity for growth accounts The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Heavyside & Civil Building products with: Must have a demonstrable track record of construction field sales Must have sold into builders merchants May also consider a builders merchant sales background Ideally sold some heavyside building products such as; manhole covers and gratings, linear drainage channel, underground pipes and fittings, security chambers/ covers etc. Excellent relationship management/ account management skills Autonomous in nature Honest/ humility Structured sales process/ territory management skills The Company: Established 50 years 150 employees £20m turnover Privately owned/ family run Please contact Paul, Simon or Lee from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
