Business Development Manager (Recruitment) 28-35K plus Uncapped Commission and Excellent Benefits Lower Earley (Reading) Orion Electrotech is a well- respected specialist engineering recruitment agency based near Reading with lots of free on-site parking. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Sales professional to join us as a Business Development Manager - using all of your sales experience to take your sales career in a new strategic direction. You will be based at our office in Lower Earley (near Reading) and your role with us will be fast paced and challenging. We will give you all the training that you will need to understand the engineering recruitment market. Along with classroom-based training sessions, you will have an excellent and experienced Team Manager to mentor and coach you. This opportunity will allow you to progress at your own speed - we won't hold you back, but we will hold your hand - this industry is not for the faint hearted and you will need resilience to be successful. What will you be doing as a Business Development Manager? To begin with you will be working on pre-qualified jobs to understand the engineering market whilst enabling you to make commission Once established in your desk, you will resource candidates for your own jobs and brief the resourcing team to work on any over-spill of roles that your personal clients need Sourcing new Clients and booking meetings to discuss current and future recruitment needs, looking at where Orion can add value to their recruitment process Putting together and delivering clients presentations - solution selling to meet their needs Managing the clients that you bring on and developing our relationship with them -cross selling the other areas of the Orion business Increasing your engineering knowledge by attending relevant exhibitions and networking events Working with your Team Manager to regularly review your business plan and using their knowledge and recruitment experience to develop your sales strategy and account plan What Qualities and Experience do you need? Experience of working within the sales industry is essential Previous account management experience. Strong negotiating and influencing skills with clients at all levels. A proven track record of consistently achieving targets. Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Passion for selling and motivated by achieving results. Confident and professional telephone manner and ability to build rapport Excellent communication skills.
