Overview
Job Title: International Head of Commercial The purpose of the role is to lead the Commercial function within International Development. Responsible for developing commercial strategy, model development, process improvements, commercial performance and wholesale operations. Ensures the right range is offered at the right price and delivered at the right time and in full to partnership international markets. This role has responsibility for the Commercial and Wholesale team within International Development. Additionally, the role operates in close partnership with International Development Operations, Partner Management and Business Development teams as well as with many internal functions and external partners. Current business scope is 15 International franchise and wholesale markets. Main Responsibilities: Leadership and partnership Build and develop the Commercial team capability within International Development and indirectly within franchisee businesses Act as a linchpin between Group and International markets on commercial strategies, opportunities and risks Lead and line manage the International Development Commercial and Wholesale areas Build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders to implement strategy and drive commercial improvements Travel to key franchise and wholesale markets to build partnership, unlock commercial opportunity and mitigate risk International operating model and process development Partner with Buying, Trading, Tech and Supply Chain leads to ensure that new systems and processes support delivery of international strategy and targets Lead the roll out of new commercial capabilities, strategies and processes to International markets e.g. new customer propositions, products and services, new technology, supply chain transformation Ensure key commercial processes are embedded into each International market and are fit for purpose Oversee the planning, buying and supply chain operating standards in the franchise Operating Manual to ensure outstanding service levels delivered to customers and franchisees stay compliant Ensure International operating and commercial processes are robust, scalable and facilitate the delivery of HBI's contractual obligations Range planning Consolidate international product needs and international NPD trends into usable feedback for the Group Buying teams. Influence the Group Buying team to develop new and exciting products for international markets. Represent International interests in the range planning and range review process. Build and maintain a framework for the right global/local, cross-category and own label/3rd party range balance in international franchise and wholesale market ranges, in line with philosophy of being a global health, wellness and beauty proposition with local relevance Ensure key global brand product moments are purchased and distributed appropriately by international markets Proactively manage and mitigate the impact of retendering and deleted lines on International partnership markets Work alongside the key 3rd party brands to develop plans to drive growth throughout international territories. Liaise with the key Group functions and suppliers to ensure relevant documentation available for international registration. Govern the local sourcing process in franchise markets, ensuring full visibility to local purchases and compliance with brand ethos Pricing and promotions Own the framework for in-market competitive positioning and pricing studies Thought leader and business partner to international partners, International Development Business Development and Account Managers on all aspects of pricing and promotions Responsible for HBI selling price offered to franchise and wholesale markets, ensuring the range is fairly priced, with good uptake across all categories, encouraging the right local retail price architecture and HBI targets are delivered Forecasting Own the forecasting models to establish International product supply requirements Work closely with the Supply Chain and Buying teams to ensure product availability, fulfilment, range consistency and access to NPD through forecasting Minimise the stock exposure of International within the HBI Supply Chain with a consistent internal rolling forecast Embed sales forecast and stock intake disciplines within International markets to strengthen local forecast capabilities, and forecast consistency and credibility Order Management Lead the International Development ordering process for all International partners, ensuring a robust, accurate, insightful and intuitive order process Strive to deliver regular orders for each market which "grow the business" per the Agreement, achieving the right global/local balance, churning unproductive SKUs and maximising fulfilment Maximise the NPD upsell opportunity through use of selling tools and brand collateral Manage the international wholesale operations to ensure the scale and profitability of the business grows in line with annual plans Supply Chain
