Based in the UK, INSTANDA is an insurance software provider challenging the status quo. We have built an exciting software tool which fundamentally changes how companies who sell insurance can design and deliver insurance products to the market. We work directly with Insurers, Managing General Agents (MGAs), and Brokers. Using leading-edge technologies, INSTANDA insurance software is entirely configurable from the ground up. It is not a one-size-fits-all model. We allow companies to use insurance software in the way they want to. We have many global clients using INSTANDA who confirm the game-changing benefits of the product significant speed coupled with time and cost savings for the insurance sector. Founded in 2012, we spent several years designing and building the platform which is now being used globally by some of the worlds largest insurance companies. Amongst our many achievements, we were recently chosen by Microsoft UK as a disruptive technology that their ventures program sponsored. With just 20 employees in the company in January 2017, INSTANDA now has over 100 employees based in the UK (London, Histon, and Huntingdon), in the US, and Canada. Learn more about us at JOB DESCRIPTION Based in one of our three offices and reporting to our Head of Solutions, Gari Gono, we are seeking a Technical SME in Life & Health Business to join the team. This is a multi-faceted role: * Customer facing role focusing on to understand client needs and map to INSTANDA solutions. Working with our Business Analysts this will entail gathering requirements, documenting solution and confirming configuration and any platform enhancement requirements and documenting in an appropriate SOW * Scheduling work with appropriate INSTANDA deployment and technology teams * Developing the Life & Health solution, scheduling on the INSTANDA platform roadmap and testing with clients * Managing specific go to market solutions which integrate our INSTANDA & Life & Health propositions and supporting go-to-market client initiatives Specific responsibilities will include: * Leading on business analysis responsibilities * Systems and process gap analysis * Process and system analysis and definition * Partnering with our Client Delivery team to deliver projects * Crafting functional and non-functional requirements * Translating our business and technical requirements We are seeking a smart and technically savvy individual who has strong project management skills to join the team. This person has the ability to clearly communicate, analyse and be part of a team to deliver the solution our clients need. Our clients face technology and resource constraints which mean that new insurance products and/or offerings could take a very long time to launch and be very costly. With INSTANDA however, insurers can build their products, set their distribution networks, test and launch their products in unprecedented timescales all without writing a single line of code. The person in this role will ensure our customers can successfully and easily do all these things and more! Requirements Whilst no specific knowledge of the INSTANDA platform is a pre-requisite, experience of SaaS or platform technology solutions will be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate will have the following experience and characteristics: * Experience * Multi-year experience in Life & Health sector; ideally in the UK and overseas markets * Strong business, process, product knowledge and ability to work with product technical teams including actuaries * Previous experience of working with technology solutions / platforms, but not IT specific experience * Characteristics * Strong client / stakeholder management / interaction capability, both externally at C-suite and operational level and internally within a small business covering multiple business areas and with all levels of the organisation * Strong solution skills and an ability to discern requirements and create / present solutions to clients and internally * Passionate and strong can do attitude; willingness to take ownership and drive results, whilst being aware of and an ability to balance own needs with other business priorities * Communication both verbally and in writing with multiple stakeholders; clients and internally * Technical ability to document solutions align these to our commercial and technical considerations; obtain sign-off and commitments in a timely fashion * Delivery / process experience; you will need to be able to demonstration: * Confident in presenting to clients and partner organisations and have experience of converting business requirements into configuration, development and technical needs underpinned by commercially viable business outcomes * A high level of competence in requirements gathering, documentation and defining functional and non-functional requirement * E
