Overview
As part of this successful, UK manufacturing organisation, the retail division now requires an experienced Key Account Manager who will have responsibility to act as the day to day manager and central point of contact for the designated Key Account partnerships. You will ensure the strategy and key account plan is fully implemented, developing both existing and new accounts to ensure that the territory is consistently increasing in both turnover and profitability. The Role: Reporting to the National Sales Manager for the brand, as the Key Account Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to: liaising with your key account contacts and developing long term relationships constructing and maintaining an up to date contact map for all your designated key accounts preparing and agreeing a detailed, tailored key account plan that maximises organic sales/income/profit growth in the short and longer term working with the key account and the relevant internal departments to agree a trading agreement managing and co-ordinating the stakeholders internally and within the key account so as to effectively execute the key account plan ensuring income, sales and profit targets are met preparing and managing presentations, proposals and relevant account documentation ensuring all contact is recorded from every stakeholder accurately on the CRM forecasting and profiling of product sales into the key accounts creating promotional campaigns and joint marketing with each key account where appropriate collating a detailed monthly report for internal review The Candidate: Ideally of graduate standard, from within a business or commercial based discipline, candidates for the Key Account Manager role will also be required to demonstrate that they have: prior work experience within a key account management role a proven track record of driving forward sales growth and achieving/ exceeding set targets previous experience of working within a retail environment sound business acumen and be commercially aware strong organisational skills and a solid understanding of MS Office products excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible and creative in a challenging environment the capability to be a hands-on type individual, who demonstrates initiative and has a positive, professional, "can-do" attitude the ability to be performance and results driven with a strong commitment to success and excellence the capacity to be a strong, capable leader, with the presence to communicate, motivate and influence at the highest level the ability to work as part of a team or under their own initiative to meet required targets and deadlines Candidates for the Key Account Manager role should note that there will be frequent travel throughout the UK, as well as occasionally overseas, and therefore should hold a full current UK driving licence.
