Area Sales Manager - Ground Shoring & Groundwork Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Ground Shoring & Groundwork Industry Sector: Ground Shoring, Groundworkers, Concrete Frame Contractors, Construction and Civil Engineering Area to be covered: London & South East Remuneration: £36,000-£45,000 £12,500-£30,000 commission Benefits: BMW or Audi Car (or allowance of £500 per month) full benefits package The role of the Area Sales Manager - Ground Shoring & Groundwork will involve: Field sales position selling predominantly the hire (but also the sale) of ground shoring products including: trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products Selling into groundworkers Inheriting an area currently performing well against budget expectations Responsible for an area achieving approx £1.5m turnover Tasked with growing the patch to £35,000-£40,000 per week once established in the role 50% new business development within your own contacts and also within our clients existing formwork & falsework customer database 50% account development targeting existing clients Project sizes will vary from £1,000 (a few trench boxes for a few weeks) up to £6,000 per week for projects lasting 6 months (e.g. 2-3 story basement projects) Visiting construction sites typically 4 days per week and on average 4 customer visits per day Utilising a team of qualified engineers for technical support The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Ground Shoring & Groundwork with: Must have previously sold ground shoring Hire industry field sales experience preferred but will consider the sale of ground shoring products too Ideally with a proven track record of having sold into groundworkers Proven territory management skills/ field sales proven track record Ability to hit the ground running Contacts within groundworkers is not essential as a database of customer base will be provided Construction site experience Ideally with specific knowledge of trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products Empathetic, energetic, drive, passion and enthusiastic No journeymen / unstable careers, will suit someone looking for longevity in their career The Company: Est. 50 Years Multiple depots nationwide 100 employees Net worth £50m Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
