Overview

A unique QS role to join a small team in a growing developer to take the comemrcial lead on a number of secured schemes from high-end residential houses to multi-unit residential-led schemes. Client Details My client is an SME developer in London. Primarily targeting growth through acquisition of mixed-use, residential led schemes they have an exciting growth plan over the next 5 years. They currently have 1 large site, 2 ongoing bespoke residential projects under management and are close to acquiring 2 further schemes. As a result of this growth and progression of projects they are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor. Description As the Quantity Surveyor you will work closely with the Project Manager and Design Manager to lead on commercial management across projects. Your key responsibilities will include: Procurement, reviewing and appointing consultants/contractors; Taking off drawings and schedules and preparing contractors bills Preparing schedules of work and consultants/contractors bills for design and build projects Quantity surveying/cost management (including but not limited to: pricing variations, submitting final accounts, checking rates of contractors, cost value reconciliations, etc.) Profile As a strong applicant for this Quantity Surveyor position you will: Hold a degree/masters in quantity surveying (or similar) Be a RICS member preferable in the field of quantity surveying Have an excellent knowledge of the building and tendering process Possess a clear understanding of project costs and how to effectively manage them Demonstrate a successful commercial management background Ideally have a track record working developer side across residential-led schemes Job Offer The offer to the successful candidate will be £70,000-£80,000 depending on experience plus a competitive benefits package.
