Overview
Senior Commercial Managers London (Central) and Kent £60,000 - £75,000 p.a CPMS is a multi-discipline consultancy of around 90 people with a growing reputation within the railway and wider infrastructure sectors. We started out providing project management services in the rail sector but we’re broadening out. Our commercial service group is going from strength to strength along with the rest of the business, so we are looking to grow and bring in new colleagues across the full range of experience levels. In this role you will be initially working with our key rail clients, providing and leading on the commercial management support services on projects and portfolios of works with budgets ranging from £250k up to and including £100m, which will provide you with the professional challenge and platform you are looking for to support the next stage of growth with the profession. You’ll have the full oversight of your allocated projects, including significant internal and external stakeholder management. You also be leading a small team to help you deliver and work closely with other project colleagues, contractors and clients to ensure that project costs and contractual compliance is proactively delivered. You’ll provide professional and technical leadership to your colleagues and help develop their careers and skills, giving back to the profession and enhancing your skills at the same time. As this role is initially based with rail clients, a substantial knowledge and experience of rail projects in the UK (or using UK standards and methodologies) is a must. This could be from working with Network Rail, London Underground or Transport for London/Wales. This will be coupled with your detailed understanding of construction contract management in the public sector, including HM Treasury rules. As a Senior Commercial Manager, it goes without saying that you’ll be Chartered Quantity Surveyor or be able to demonstrate significant equivalent experience and qualifications. CPMS will provide the ideal platform to develop your experience and technical capabilities across the complete suite of quantity surveying skillsets. We can provide you with the exposure to multi-million pound contracts, working on critical national infrastructure to grow your experience and develop you to the next level in your career. As we grow, so can you. In joining CPMS you'll become part of a company that is small and friendly where you'll know everyone by name, with a 'start-up' feel, but we’re big enough to provide you with exposure to interesting and challenging projects. We're a value driven business, committed to developing colleagues and building long term futures. You'll receive a competitive salary, a wide range of benefits, including private healthcare, Perkbox, time off for charity work/volunteering and we close at Christmas. Closing date Monday 9 th March You must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship to apply for this role. A NOTE TO RECRUITMENT AGENCIES We prefer to hire our colleagues directly.
