Overview
World Villages for Children are delighted to announce this new, pivotal role within the charity. Responsible for creating and leading fundraising strategy for the organisation, this is an exciting opportunity for a resourceful fundraiser to define and grow this new role, generate immediate impact and transform the lives of the world&39;s poorest children. By supporting the Christian, humanitarian programmes of the Sisters of Mary, each year we help more than 20,000 impoverished children of any faith or none to receive the chance of education in their schools in the Philippines, Guatemala, Mexico, Brazil, Honduras and Tanzania. So far over 150,000 children and their families have been helped out of poverty. The successful candidate will have significant experience of fundraising, including a proven track record of writing proposals, negotiating, winning and delivering partnerships with, and funds from, charitable trusts and foundations, companies as well as major donors. The role is part of the senior management of the charity and involves close collaboration with UK Manager and trustees as well as working within our small and friendly office team. The role also includes international scope, both through liaison with our partner organisations around the world, and with overseas donors. If you are a self-starter, with the big picture in mind, hands-on, brilliant with people, experienced in setting up a prospect pipeline, managing partnerships and closing the deal this could be the role for you.
