Overview
We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. The company wish to appoint an exceptional and distinctive leader as their next Chief Executive Officer to deliver strategy and drive its implementation to realise ambitious goals and growth. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer will inspire and empower the company people to achieve excellence in the delivery of programmes and realise mission to enable people living in the drylands of Africa to unlock the potential of trees to reduce poverty and protect the environment. The role represents a career defining opportunity to further the company’s impact and potential. The successful candidate will bring a considerable track record of leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and empower staff, ideally gained in an international and cross-cultural working environment. S/he will bring demonstrable strategic skill in developing, evolving and implementing a vision with excellent stakeholder management skills. The ideal CEO will be an effective ambassador and a passionate advocate for the company to build their profile, networks and reputation to facilitate the growth of our programmes and impact. The ability to communicate effectively in French is highly desirable, as is experience of working in or with Francophone countries. Most of all, the next CEO will demonstrate a personal commitment to the company’s values and mission to tackle poverty and protect the environment in Sub Saharan Africa.
