Overview

Staff Valuer Opportunities – UK Wide We recruit nationally for both lenders direct and the surveying arms of wider financial services groups undertaking in-house / top tier valuation work on an exclusive (low volume / high quality) basis in select locations UK wide. As a result we are always keen to hear from experienced Residential Surveyors keen move away from a traditional practice or corporate set up, into a client side situation where the focus is on quality (and sound lending decisions) as opposed to volume or turnaround. Naturally, selection criteria is stringent so those Residential Surveyors keen to work client side or become Staff Valuers need to hold MRICS/FRICS qualification, VRS, have a claim free track record and committed work history. They should also have a thorough understanding of lender reporting formats, lender criteria and general RICS guidance on residential valuation. In terms of workload, Staff Valuers help form lending decisions through both the analysis of reports provided by panel firms and the inspection (on a limited basis) of properties themselves. Staff Valuers do not work to volume targets nor is their remuneration made up of any element of fee related (or points based) bonus. For those who have worked on the panel side of the residential sector a position client side offers a genuine “poacher turned gamekeeper” situation with a commensurate change of pace and quality of life not often seen in corporate or practice employment. Salaries vary by location but generally comprise a high basic, group (profit related) bonus, (often excellent) pension, healthcare, car and extensive health/wellbeing/lifestyle benefits. If you are an experienced, fee earning Residential Surveyor or a senior Residential Surveyor acting in an audit or compliance capacity who would like to explore client side opportunities in a specific location, please apply below and one of our team will be in touch directly to discuss availability (or upcoming needs) in your area.
