Wonderbly is a unique, award winning start-up that lives on the intersection of storytelling, engineering, digital and print. We are building a global personal-publishing business that brings millions of people into our products - as co-creators and audiences. Our books have read by over 5 million children and their families globally. We are releasing new titles all the time, each one more beautiful and inspiring than the last. We want to bring our cherished picture books to more people in China and we need your help Requirements We need someone to join our team to help us deliver an exciting initiative to help us grow our presence in China. You’ll be working closely with the CTO and VP Engineering to deliver well-designed, secure APIs for integration with one of our partners. If you’re a backend developer who can speak Mandarin then we’d love to talk We can offer this contract remotely to anyone who can work on a European time-zone. You must be able to communicate in English fluently, both spoken and written. Please get in touch and learn more about our unique mix of creative talent tech, perhaps you could help us put more picture books in the homes of children in China Hopefully you’ll have some or all of the following: You have a love of building well designed and documented APIs Mandarin conversation skills to speak with our partner Experience with API level authentication and authorisation (we use Auth0) Typescript/Express experience Proficient in Swagger tool chain and ability to write API documentation in English Benefits The rate for this contract is £350-£450/day.
