A wonderful opportunity is available for a Trainee Journalist to join our popular newspaper titles Cambs Times, Ely Standard & Wisbech Standard. This role will see you reporting on engaging stories covering local news, sport and events that are available to the readers in print, online, e-editions and through various social media channels. We want someone who combines sound news judgement and multimedia awareness to build on our reputation for insightful and informative community journalism. The successful candidate will be expected to play a role in shaping our news coverage across multiple platforms. You will be passionate about the use of social media and understand how this plays a crucial role in news gathering and engaging readers. Creating video content to bring greater connection to your stories will also be an essential and very enjoyable part of this role. It is essential that you have completed your NCTJ qualification, ideally with 100 WPM shorthand, and are now hungry to make a name for yourself and push on to achieve full senior status. You will be based from our offices in March but must be able to drive to travel across the county.
