Overview

We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join a leading Biologics CMO. As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for selling the Biologics Services into Pharma, Research and Academia, working to identify and develop new business opportunities. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Business Development Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. As the Business Development Manager you will identify and target academic, pharmaceutical and research organisations developing novel products in the Bioprocess area. 2. You will use your technical knowledge and collaborate with the scientific team to develop commercial proposals tailored to the client's needs. 3. It is your job to be able to identify leads within the market to generate new relationships, attending conferences and events for targeted networking opportunities. 4. It is expected that you will deliver a fully consultative sales service to ensure continued business with clients, negotiating and closing sales. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Business Development Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Relevant degree in a Life Science subject e.g Biology, Biochemistry, microbiology or pharmacy. 2. Proven industry experience in a customer facing role, such as Business Development, Account Management or MSAT Scientist. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with following leads and closing deals, with an understanding of novel-product commercial development.
