Role: Area Sales Manager / Sales Executive Sector: Building Materials / Builders Merchants Location: Watford, North London, Middlesex & Hertfordshire Salary: £34,000 - £50,000 plus bonus and company car Description: We are recruiting an Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / External Sales Executive position for a well-known and respected supplier of Building Materials within the London / North London area. Recognised as one of leading building materials suppliers within the Greater London / South East region, they are looking for a proven Area Sales Manager / Sales Executive from within the construction supply sector to focus on developing key accounts and driving new business throughout the Watford, Middlesex, North London and Northern Home Counties region. Targeting regional builders, developers and contractors this is a great opportunity for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to join their thriving and expanding business as part of their dynamic London Sales Team. Responsibilities: Target area builders, developers and contractors, including cold calling via phone or site visits Develop market intelligence on all major construction projects within the defined area Build effective working relationships with all key customers in order to understand their requirements, both present and future Use initiative to identify sales opportunities and offer advice and solutions to customers, thus maximising profitable sales and margin Work closely with the Branch Management team to support delivery of the Branch sales strategy whilst taking ownership for the development and success of the area sales plan The Person: The ideal applicant will have a proven track record of Area Sales Management within the construction supply sector ideally coming with a Builders Merchants / Construction Sales background.
