Overview
We currently have a new opportunity available with a client based in Harlow who are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join their friendly offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for the generation and development of new customers within their assigned geographical area. They will have a proactive approach to sales and be eager to develop close relationships with clients to ensure business growth and achieve set targets. You will manage the process from initial enquiry to delivery of order. As you develop within this role, it will become a full Account Manager position. Key Duties of the Sales Account Manager Complete investigative research into companies and approach them, introducing yourself and the companies services Research and approach organisations through existing database of clients, websites, social media and exhibition data Build relationships with new and current customers – managing their enquiry from start to finish Liaise with factories to ensure transition from quotation to drawing/sample is correct and competitive Respond to all enquiries from new and existing clients via telephone and email Process all orders on behalf of your client base and keep them updated on the status Send samples to clients as per their request and actively follow-up Create, negotiate and close commercial agreements with customers Be an anchor for the UK sales team and manage initial customer contact and order processing to provide customers with an excellent account management service Help to capitalise on business opportunities and meetings to provide a successful sales outcome Add value to the sale through development of in-depth product, market and customer knowledge Work collaboratively with Field Sales team to increase customer visits Work to assigned targets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Identify a strong and loyal relationship with all decision makers Complete management reports on time Key Requirements Experience in sales or telesales environment highly desirable – order processing experience very advantageous Confident to work on own initiative and motivated to achieve targets Excellent attention to detail Good organisational and time management skills Ability to multi-task Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal Strong account management and relationship building skills
