At Thirsty Thoughts we blend technology and booze to generate engagement for clients planning knockout events all over the world. Ever wanted a mind-controlled beer-pouring robot? We’ve built one. Ever fancied pouring champagne by simply gesturing towards a bottle? We made it happen. Now we are looking for someone to help drive our great ideas forward and build on the sales success we have enjoyed to date, with clients including Adidas, Google and Twitter activating experiences across Europe and, most recently, with the Wall Street Journal in the US.    After a successful first year, we’re looking to rapidly grow the business in 2020 and dominate the high-end event entertainment market. For that to happen, we are in need of a bright, entrepreneurial and resourceful Business Development Officer to take charge of our Sales and Marketing process. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales specialist who is looking for large amounts of responsibility and the ability to grow with a business. You’ll join a tight-knit team with a shared passion of technology, drinks and delivering unique experiences.   Responsibilities: Build business by identifying and selling to prospective clients; as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat purchase. Build a roster of event agency partners who will resell our products to their clients. Keep these partners informed of new developments and making sure they are selling our products correctly.  Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options. Work closely with the Managing Director to devise and implement an effective inbound marketing strategy. Constantly test and adapt your strategy to ensure you’re getting results. Identify potential product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors. Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing performance. Eventually build out your own sales and marketing team and lead them to glory.     The successful candidate needs to have/be: Excellent commercial awareness A “people person” - it’s essential that you can forge close working relationships with our clients and agency partners High energy Happy to muck in and help the team when necessary Negotiation skills Good written communication skills Creativity Independence and self-motivation in abundance   Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor's Degree At least one year of industry sales experience Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies   Remuneration and Benefits   £20,000 - £25,000 per annum base salary, dependant on experience 10% commission, uncapped, on the gross value of all deals £40,000 - £50,000 OTE Options scheme after 6 months Work from home options International travel, we took our robots to 10 different countries last year and always have time for fun while we’re abroad.
