Area Sales Manager - Underground & Sewer Drainage Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Underground & Sewer Drainage Industry Sector: Residential, Below Ground, Plastics, Sewer Products, Underground Drainage, House Builders, Housing Developers, Consulting Engineers, Groundworkers, Site Teams, Engineers, Surveyors, Water Authorities, Developer Services and Site Inspectors Area to be covered: South West & South Wales Remuneration: £38,000-£42,000 £5,000 uncapped bonus Benefits: Car allowance or fully expensed car & full benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager - Underground & Sewer Drainage will involve: Field sales position selling our clients manufactured range of underground & sewer products Achieving specifications & sales, supporting the below ground/ sewer and utilities business strategy and product portfolio 50% of your time managing relationships within housebuilders and national and regional developers (plastic underground & sewer drainage products already their default) 20% of your time winning specifications and nurturing relationships with consulting engineers (The developers are "king", often influencing the consulting engineers on who to specify) 20% managing relationships with the groundworkers 10% managing relationships with drainage merchants and distributors on the area Developing a strategic network of contacts to improve our clients brand awareness and market share in a sewer market Influencing hearts and minds, in respect of changing an established marketplace’s that has traditionally relied upon concrete and clay underground and sewer drainage products New project for our client, there will be no revenue target in the first 6 months, instead you will be assessed against activity based KPI’s such as 9-10 quality customer visits per week Focusing on system projects worth £20,000-£150,000 The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Underground & Sewer Drainage with: Proven track record on field sales within the construction industry, preferably heavyside Must have sold to contractors, ideally housebuilders/ housing developers, groundworkers etc. Specification field sales experience with consulting engineers is not essential Specific knowledge of underground plastic piping, sewer drainage is not required as full product training will be provided Firm understanding of building regulations is desirable Ideally some understanding of sustainable issues/ solutions linked to water management, sewers & drainage Technically competent Looking for a genuine career opportunity within a blue chip manufacturer The Company: Public Company 1,000 employees Blue Chip Manufacturer For an immediate interview either click on the APPLY NOW button below or contact Paul, Lee or Simon at Mitchell Maguire Ltd Mitchell Maguire is a specialist construction field sales recruitment consultancy, dealing exclusively with construction field sales jobs, construction field sales vacancies and specification field sales positions within: Residential, Below Ground, Plastics, Sewer Products, Underground Drainage, House Builders, Housing Developers, Consulting Engineers, Groundworkers, Site Teams, Engineers, Surveyors, Water Authorities, Developer Services and Site Inspectors
