Position: Sales Account Manager (Metal Distribution) Location: Birmingham (SD) Field based, Car or allowance Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £30-40K Basic plus Bonus of up to 40% of base ,28 days with service,3%-8% pension after 6 months rising with service, plus life assurance, income protection Our client, a global organisation operating within the distribution sector is currently seeking to appoint a new Sales Account Manager to join their worldwide organisation. You would be responsible for growing sales revenue throughout their Midlands territory area, managing your own diary of accounts split over 50% new business and 50% existing clients. This exciting opportunity we see you working closely with existing clients and take the lead on account management; you will be confident in liaising with the Technical sales team and advanced in the delivery of operations. Ideally you will be a proven Sales Account Manager/Field sales or proven Business development professional. Effective at generating new business you will have an ethical closing ability and the desire to forge new relationships with high end clients and suppliers within the Metals and Aerospace arena’s throughout the region. Responsibilities: As the new Sales Account Manager, you must deliver an outstanding service in all areas. This role will see you report directly into the Specialty distribution side of the company. Generating new business via prospecting/ Manage existing clients and maximise the existing portfolio Gaining clear agreements and commitment from others by persuading, convincing and negotiating Attend Tradeshows/ Trade fairs where required Building wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organisation Engage with others and enhance relationships for the business Present and communicate information clearly to clients Deliver sales strategies within your territory Understand the market and gain commercial insight, to deliver support both pre and after sale Eager to take ongoing training and product knowledge Provide product recommendation Requirements; Strong sales background Proven ability to manage high end accounts Two or more years commercial sales experience Knowledge of the metals industry or Technical sales environments Highly motivated and able to work individually or in a team Tenacious and eager to embark on training Strong interpersonal skills Proven diary management and self- discipline Ability to converse to a high standard and be confident in delivery Proficient in MS Office packages The Package; Basic salary starting at 30-40k with OTE 60k within the first year Product Training and support Company car, income protection, mobile, laptop, 28 days holiday, pension 3% rising to 8%, life assurance Career opportunities This is a rare opportunity to join a leader within their field.
