Area Sales Manager - Painting & Decorating and Builders Merchants Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Painting & Decorating and Builders Merchants Industry Sector: Painting & Decorating Merchants, Builders Merchants, Painters & Decorators, Maintenance Contractors, Refurbishment Contractors, General Building Contractors and Dry Wall Specialists Area to be covered: London & Home Counties Remuneration: Up to £32,000 £4,000-£5,000 Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed car, lunch allowance & full benefits The role of the Area Sales Manager Painting & Decorating and Builders Merchants will involve: Field sales position, selling our clients manufactured range of internal and external wall & ceiling prep fillers 75% of your time account managing 100 predominantly national but also independent painting & decorating and builders merchants 25% stimulating demand for product with painters & decorators, general building contractors, maintenance contractors, refurbishment contractors and dry wall specialist end users Inheriting an area that has become available due to an internal promotion Tasked with growing the region from circa £1m by 10-15% Circa 5-6 customer visits per day 80% of the revenue comes from the top 20 accounts, these will require visits at least monthly, more often when new products are released Demonstrating products at breakfast meetings and trade shows Focus will be on building long term relationships with the trade Comfortable visiting construction sites The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Painting & Decorating and Builders Merchants with: Must have sold to either painting & decorating merchants or builders merchants May also consider experience of having worked for painting & decorating merchants or builders merchants High level of energy and passion Comfortable with practical/ earthy sell rather than aesthetically pleasing Ability to use/ demonstrate the product Ideally field sales track record from within the building industry Ability to communicate with various contractors including; painters & decorators, general building contractors, maintenance contractors, refurbishment contractors and dry wall specialist end users Account development/ relationship building skills The Company: Established I the UK 15 years Small but growing UK business Privately held, family owned Part of a larger European business Please contact Paul, Lee or Simon from Mitchell Maguire for an immediate interview.
