Overview

299 Lighting are looking for our next star performer to join the business development team. We are a high performance B2B lighting company working in the commercial interiors market. The ideal candidate will be a team player that is excited to take the next step and start an an exciting new Business Development Manager role. They will be based near or have easy access to Central London. In this role, you will be expected to contact leads, arrange meetings, set up presentations, and develop relationships within the property and construction sector. You will be supported by our experienced London manager, meetings will typically be with architects, interior designers, construction companies, property owners & project managers. Typical target businesses for candidates will be architectural practices, interior design companies, interior fit-out specialists, electrical engineers and electrical contractors. Candidates who work in, have experience or are interested in the following industries will definitely enjoy this fun role working with commercial lighting and architectural lighting. Relevant industries include: office interiors, furniture & interiors, property & construction, architecture, commercial finishes(flooring, wall covering, ceilings, etc.), bathroom & kitchen. Lighting experience is not essential. The ideal candidate will have some or most of the following: Experience and proven success in B2B sales Education to a degree level or similar (not essential depending on experience) Excellent customer service skills Passionate about achieving a beneficial deal for both clients and the business, negotiating win-wins Some experience in technical areas or being a technically minded person Experience in a leadership position within a sales team and a record of managing or improving a team to a high standard of performance Excellent people management skills Entrepreneurially minded, identifying and seizing opportunities Good people skills allowing them to create good business relationships A full, clean driving license and a willingness to travel Your role will include: Performing B2C/B2B business meetings Creating and developing your own leads Following up established leads Working with Linked and Sales Navigator Promoting services and products to new customers Utilising analytical tools such as Lead Feeder or Lead Forensics Using tech such as Salesforce, Sage for Business Maintaining and updating the CRM system (ZOHO) Assisting with enquiries incoming to the business Setting up and Organising Seminars and presentations Attending client meetings at offices & sites Attending specific networking events BENEFITS: Profit sharing Bonus 38 days holiday per year including bank holidays Health Care with lifestyle benefit package Flexible working hours Work from home opportunities Being part of a passionate team SALARY/RATE: £25,000 - £45,000/annum Plus Quarterly Company Profit Share
