Our turnover defines we are no longer a start-up, we have a team of 55 truly talented individuals and we have firmly established ourselves as a leader in delivering events across multiple industries including AI, Animal Health and Life Sciences. Events include Microbiome, Artificial Intelligence, OCTS, Animal Health, Personalised Beauty and Women’s Health to name a few. To do this we need the best talent in the market within research and sales. If you are ambitious, tenacious and willing to work hard to achieve and learn then read on. If you have six months work experience with a telephone-based role and understand the art of engaging with a prospective client, listening and explaining why something could be of interest then we can develop your skills with training and mentoring. THE ROLE · Achieve sales targets for our Events. · Achieve agreed KPIs around phone activity and pipeline management · Proactively developing new contact relationships - Upselling/cross selling delegates to other events in the Business · Accurate and timely reporting of weekly and monthly sales performance to the Sales Manager · Excellent management of our CRM system including accuracy of data input, logging of call activities and comprehensive call notes. Work closely with our marketing team to develop new and innovative ways of communicating to our database · Work closely with our CRM team to uncover new opportunities · Proactively and continually learn about the sector through research, networking and listening · You will work on events in various industries (Beauty, Personal Care, Pharmaceuticals, Health, Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture etc) and geographies (London, New York, San Francisco, Boston, Amsterdam, Sao Paolo, Kansas, Hong Kong, China etc). Salary: £20,000-25,000 (£35k-£40k OTE) Hours: This is a permanent, full time role. Our events cover both Europe and the US and dependent upon the events you are working on, you will be required to work hours to enable you to reach customers in those time zones: European events: 8.30am-5.00pm US events: 10.30am-7.00pm WHO FITS THE BILL? Ideally you will have sales experience or relevant transferable skills. You should also: · Be an excellent communicator and persuasive negotiator · Have tenacity and a proven track record to support this · Have the ability to easily build rapport with clients on the phone and face to face · Be highly organised and disciplined and a competitive edge · Be a self-starter, have a willingness to learn and take a creative approach to selling Qualifications: · Fluent English and can work in the UK. · Other languages would be a plus. · Bachelor’s level education or equivalent. · Confidence and strong negotiation skills. · Proficient knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word. · Excellent phone manners and professional demeanour.
