The business delivers a range of premium equipment and technical aftersales service across diverse market sectors including the Foodservice and Hospitality channel. The Sales Director will be a key appointment within the Senior Management team and will play an integral part in devising and implementing business strategy with direct input towards the AOP and LRP. The Role Leading the Sales teams within this leading Technical Service and Aftersales business, the Sales Director will be an integral part of the Senior Management team with strategic sales and marketing responsibility. Lead, mentor and develop the Sales team including field-based and internal sales staff. Devise and implement profitable sales growth strategy through the sales team. Driving profitable new business acquisition. Continued input in to targeted Marketing to continue to build market presence. Continuous coaching and leadership of the Sales team incorporating structured goal setting and upskill training. Commercial mapping of the Key Account sales landscape and analysis of sales data to identify opportunities for business growth. Perform market research and develop business cases to assess business potential and return on investment. Monitor all market developments and pipeline business to ensure that they are in line with company business aims. Ensure that all new business drives are commercially strong -both in terms of profitability and service delivery. The person This role requires a fast-paced, resilient and commercially astute sales leader who is able to effectively analyse data as well as effectively understanding the sales opportunities across the market and making quick, commercially sound decisions. A strong track record in commercial sales, ideally within an equipment service or maintenance environment. Ability to research the market and put together a strategic business plan with the commitment to track and monitor results. Experience of client market segmentation and collaborating with colleagues to deliver Marketing strategy. Proven track record of driving sales growth, results focused. Established experience gained in a Sales Director or senior Commercial role overseeing and developing sales professionals. Responsibility for budgetary, financial and strategic planning. Able to quickly establish respect from internal and external stake-holders. Hands-on management style -leads from the front and is strong in a customer-facing role. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels. Good analytical and numerical skills with the ability to produce analysis from data derived from several sources. Focused on delivering commercial growth in accordance with Group/Corporate strategy. Flexibility to travel internationally/nationally and work away from home as required. Resilient and robust with the ability to work with precision and pace, responds well to change and drives positive change and improvement.
