Overview
My clients seeking a professional FREIGHT SALES DIRECTOR, who was at least 7years experience within the freight industry. Daily duties would include: Oversee and lead the sales team including internal sales department and business devleopment managers Generate and qualify own new business opportunities by using sales skills, planning and effective relationship management Design and implement sale strategies in order in order to deliver and exceed financial target for the business Oversee the creation of new business opportunities through the effective leadership of the BDM team Oversee and review the management of existing customer portfolios maximising opportunities to increase revenues Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and foster a culture of continuous process improvement Oversee CRM compliance ensuring the team fully maximize the tools available to measure performance levels thought accurate reporting Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting and training employees (planning, monitoring and appraising job results) Review and implement new process, systems that will have a positive impact on both the sales and function and the business Skills required: You must have previous freight forwarding experience at management level Must have a successful track record of leading a business development function within a freight forwarder Experience implementing commercial strategies to meet short term and long terms opportunities Experience overseeing reporting processes and the provision of data to support sales activity Strong leadership skills Result driven Steady work history Strong Numeracy and reporting capability You must be self-motivated
