Company With 150 people in their two London offices as well as a team based in the north, the company is a leading player in the UK’s commercial property market with a proud history of independent advice for occupiers. Whilst your role will be in Occupier Services, you’re also part of a much wider group offering a range of services in commercial property, giving you plenty of opportunity to develop your career in a range of different directions if you wish. Role Your role is simple, in theory at least You will be responsible for all business development within Occupier Advisory. You’ll start with crafting a business plan and, once agreed, implementing that plan to grow new business generation through both networking and telesales (mostly the latter). In short, find new business, introduce yourself and the company, and secure time with target decision-makers to meet your advisory teams at the right time to discuss their property strategy. When successful, with increased revenue to validate that success, you’ll be able to build your business development team to further develop this part of the company. Based in the City office with regular trips north to support the team there too, this is a great opportunity for a proven sales professional in this sector who has perhaps hit a ceiling in their current role. Person The Sales Talent Matrix: Does this sound like you? Knowledge : At least 2 years’ telesales or sales experience in the commercial property market is essential, preferably within Occupier Advisory; if not already in Occupier Advisory, you should have some experience in commercial property (agency, ratings, fit out etc) with a track record of success. Attitude : Independent, entrepreneurial and focused, you should be confident enough to plan for success and resilient enough to keep going in the face of failure. Skills : Advanced sales skills both over the phone and face-to-face (with main focus over the phone); proven ability to open business relationships and to ask smart, probing questions to uncover opportunities; an excellent understanding of business to craft and deliver a coherent business plan; excellent spoken and written English; outstanding personal presentation - dress, manners, etiquette etc; good negotiation and presentation skills. Habits : Used to making outbound phone calls each day; confident when networking, both formally and informally; well-organised with structured sales processes; happy working to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) without supervision. Realistic earnings in year 1 are £60,000 - £70,000pa (though more may be available to outstanding candidates).
