Area Sales Manager: Capital Equipment (Pharmaceuticals) - UK Wide Base Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive salesperson with proven experience building business relationships and selling equipment into the UK pharmaceutical or lifescience sector to join their Technical Sales team. Previous sales or business development experience is a must, and they are looking for someone who fits well with the ethos of the brand they represent and develop relationships easily with those they meet. Key attributes • Personable & well presented • Able and willing to travel across the UK • Able to successfully represent the company to its clients and customers • Able to easily comprehend and clearly present technical information • Experience introducing equipment into the UK pharmaceutical or lifescience sector • Field sales or business development experience required • Understanding of capital procurement • Excellent written and spoken English & communication skills Role • To develop and maintain a network of existing customers and potential clients for the specified range of equipment. • To develop business and brand awareness in the marketplace and be responsible for the growth in sales for multiple equipment ranges. • To monitor, grow and maintain a healthy project pipeline to enable accurate forecasting. • To provide a high level of service to the customer • Work with the Technical Solutions Engineer and Commercial Manager to develop and enhance market strategy to achieve target growth. Responsibilities • Proactively seek new customer meetings to develop a strong future business partnership • Maintain a current and accurate CRM profile of the marketplace • Seek, develop and track potential future upcoming projects and tenders • Present a targeted range of products and services to specific audiences • Be a brand champion able to describe our client's ethos, and range of products and services • Independently manage time and workload to achieve objectives • Identify and manage buying influences within a target account • Present quotations and proposals in a clear, easy to understand manner
