Initially specialising in building energy management systems, it has now broadened its products and services to offer control and integration systems across a wider number of commercial and industrial applications. MPS has an excellent reputation in the industry with a regional and national customer base. The company has grown organically and now has an ambitious 5 year plan that will see sales grow dramatically. With a highly skilled technical team already in place, MPS is now seeking a new team member to spearhead the acquisition of new business. The ideal sales manager will be competent in the field of Technical Sales but an in-depth knowledge of energy management systems, software and hardware is not necessary. More important is experience of the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. We’re seeking a quick learner, energetic with strong relationship skills, a track record of success and someone who is capable of growing with the business as MPS reach the next level. As Sales Manager will receive guaranteed base salary £30,000 per annum OTE Commission Objectives of this Role · Represent MPS professionally at all levels, having a comprehensive understanding of our offerings · Generate sales leads, and build and nurture client relationships · Understand customer needs and identify how MPS solutions can meet them · Convert self-generated and company generated leads into invoiced sales · Nurturing existing and new long term customer relationships · Account Management · After Sales · Developing and implementing a marketing strategy . Home Based Position Responsibilities This is a new role that is key to achieving our ambitions, therefore you will be working with the directors to develop sales strategy for the business. This will include but is not limited to · Developing a weekly and monthly sales plan focused on new business acquisition · Contacting potential customers, developing a clear understanding of their needs and the necessary follow up actions required to progress a new business relationship · Tracking, analysing, and communicating status’ and next steps on the acquisition process · Identifying knowledge gaps and liaise with the rest of the MPS team to address these In addition to this the successful candidate will help develop our marketing strategy to include a new website, advertising and a new service launch. Skills and Qualifications · An authentic sales manner with an ability to form new customer relationships quickly · Proven track record of successful sales cycle from plan to close · The ability to think on your feet · 3 years in sales management with experience of B2B selling · Experience of selling to Engineering Managers, Site Managers or Facilities Managers an advantage · A team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Closing Date, Monday 16th March 2020
