Overview

The Business Sign Shapes Ltd manufacture Sign, Displays and Exhibition products and distribute through trade channels. We are an established business of over 19 years and a well-known and respected brand in the industry. Job Brief We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager. You will be a key driving force behind the growth of the company and work closely with the Commercial Director in the following areas: Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings Presenting our solutions to prospective clients Following up quotes and closing sales Keeping records on a CRM system Presenting management with sales reports Requirements You’ll need proven experience in sales, with a good record of achieving targets. Proven working experience as a BDM, sales executive or a relevant role Proven sales track record Experience in customer support Communication and negotiation skills Ability to build rapport Strong work ethic Time management and planning skills Competencies To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies: Interpersonal - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Maintains confidentiality; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things. Working hours, patterns and environment You will usually work standard office hours, 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, although travelling to visit customers will often make your working day longer. You may also need to attend conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions, which could involve working in the evening and at weekends.
