Overview

Service Sales Manager Hours: 40 hour per week Excellent salary plus car, laptop and mobile phone This is an opportunity to work for our Global client, who we have had the pleasure with working with for over 8 years. This Division supports the rail industry with air conditioning units (service & repair) for many of the large train operators. The heating, ventilation and airconditioning systems, actuation systems and electronic components are used in high-speed trains, long-distance trains, commuter trains, metro trains, subway trains and buses. We are looking for a Service Sales Manager who will be responsible for selling services such as overhauls, spares, repairs and mini service activities rather than product or equipment to new and existing clients, there will also be a business development aspect to the role and as such they would need to work closely with the Operations Manager based in the Gatwick area. This is a Home based role where ideally you will be based in the London, or Home Counties area you will be required to travel nationwide, although much of it is likely to be in the south of the country with some travel to Nottingham, Derby and Birmingham. You will also need to visit the Operations Office the the Gatwick area monthly as well as the odd adhoc visit to the Head Office in Austria. If you have working knowledge of HVAC Products especially within the Rail, Aerospace or Transportation Industry this will be an advantage. Objectives: The role contributes to the success of our client by providing a professional and competent Service Sales Management presence to the Gatwick Operations Depot, whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times and working within the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership. To ensure compliance with the Company’s Health& Safety Policy, Environmental Policy and Quality system. Key responsibilities and accountabilities, includes but not limited to:- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers based in UK ( and Scandinavia (FIN, N, S) ) comprising car builders, operators, maintenance and rolling stock leasing companies Promote the product range and Service to prospective and existing customers Capture needs of key customers, both in terms of the technical requirements and potential market opportunities Feedback opportunities to senior management and support development of technical and commercial solutions to meet the market opportunity Participate in development of business plans and proposals with the Technical Team and UK Divisional Director. Work closely with the local service team to ensure ability to deliver is consider during the proposal stage Supply & maintain proposals generated, and track sales leads Attend industry events such as relevant trade shows and similar. Where appropriate assist in organising company presence at such events. Closely harmonise with the company’s engineers and marketing specialists, primarily based at the headquarters in Vienna, to ensure the team is made aware of latest trends in the market. This could include; new legislation or specification effecting technology, actions by competitors which change the market or indeed simply preference of key customers To represent the company in a professional manner Ensure that Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies are maintained Any other duty as required by management commensurate with the post Key words: Sales, Business Development, Area sales, Sales Manager, Sales Director, Air con, HVAC, Transport, Rail, Aerospace
