The role is selling an exciting new product in consumer panel data – a disruptive product from Kantar. You will need to understand the unique selling points of our service, empathise with client issues, and build strong and trusting relationships to win the business Driving sales to an existing prospect list within a diverse spread of markets, winning new business and developing existing client accounts Contributing to a commercial team operating with a start-up mentality, you will bring a business development approach and energy to targeting new clients You will report into the commercial team aligned to this new product (a team of 7), as a dedicated business development head, with a dotted line into our well-regarded business development community. KEY OUTCOMES Contribution to the product target through hitting or exceeding team and individual revenue targets Take ownership of your accounts, developing own prospect pipeline through entrepreneurial, disruptive behaviours Manage the full sales cycle from initial client contact, through to sale and management of the delivery Identify client requirements through building relationships (mainly face to face) and understanding their business issues and linking this to our offering Presenting our capabilities to clients and offering solutions that meet their business needs Keep up-to-date account plans and forecasts A typical week will be 2 days in the office including 1 day cold calling/calling warmer prospects and 3 days meeting clients (mainly UK based) CAPABILITIES A demonstrable record within business development and sales Strong client facing experience having been involved with closing new business opportunities Team contributor, bringing energy and creative thinking skills Genuine interest in consumer spending and behaviour Actively seeks out new opportunities for development Cold calling skills to arrange meetings with prospects JOIN US At Kantar we have an integrated way of rewarding our people based around a simple, clear and consistent set of principles.
